Dutch chef, Helma Wortelboer of De Kortenburg, is currently running the kitchen at Dutchies in Hermanus. When asked by good friend and owner Joke Gonggrijp to come to SA to head up the kitchen, Helma gladly accepted…with one stipulation: She needed a Big Green Egg to cook on!
A few weeks on, two Big Green Eggs have taken up prime space at their beach front restaurant and Helma has since treated Hermanus foodies to Salmon, Springbok, Trout and more cooked on the EGG.
